Winter Registration

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Registrations can be done ONLINE ONLY and will be available as early as possible in the new year. Please refer to attached registration instructions. You can download the Rugby Xplorer app on your PHONE or IPAD/TABLET, or access Rugby Xplorer from your computer at https://myaccount.rugbyxplorer.com.au/ however having access on your phone is extremely handy.

All registrations should be completed as soon as possible once registration is open to avoid disappointment. All new registrations are required to bring proof of date of birth (i.e passport or Birth Certificate) prior to the first game. Registration is not finalised until proof is provided to the Registrar and payment is made.

For older age groups U10-U17 please remember the “Import Rule” (see below) which consists of only 2 imports per AGE GROUP not team if you have friends who play for other clubs and they wish to come to Dural, please contact the Registrar at registrar@dural.rugby to discuss this further.

Please have your Active Kids Voucher, a current headshot photo, and hight and weight information available for each player before you begin.

REGISTRATION FEES FOR 2023 Winter Rugby Season

Our 2023 fees will be;

U6-U7 = $135
U8-U9 = $146
U10-U12 = $190
U13-U17 = $207

Your registration fee includes (an increased) player insurance fee, competition fees, (increased) ground fees and lighting fees for Dural Park for games and training, and other direct items such as photos and yearbooks.  This year we also include the Training T-Shirt inside the fees.

UNIFORM CHANGES for 2023

We moved to a new supplier and model last year, which had some challenges. However, we hope that we are past the fulfilment issues of 2022, and we are planning with Gilbert to ensure uniform items are available promptly.

In 2023 (different from last year), Dural Rugby will supply and issue training tees to all players during pre-season training.  The 2023 Shirt is an exciting redesign we’re sure the players will love.  The shirt is therefore included in your fees already.

Regarding Shorts and Socks – if last year’s items still fit, you do not need to re-purchase them.

If you have not played with Dural before or need larger shorts, they will be available for purchase via the online store, which will open to cater for the pre-season.

All registered players will receive an email detailing uniform purchases and other critical pre-season information.

PRE-SEASON TRAINING

Last year we secured access to all weather fields at Kellyville for weeks ahead of us getting access to our home ground.  We are again pursuing a similar arrangement, and registered players will receive information on any pre-season activities.

At this stage we expect a mid February commencement.

TRAINING NIGHTS @Dural Park

After any preliminary training at Kellyville, we will commence normal training arrangements at Dural Park, Quarry Road Dural.

Further detail will be shared once age group makeup is known and training nights are selected by coaches and managers.

As we near the commencement of training, our Age Coordinators will establish communications with each playing group.  Their communications will be the most current and up-to-date information on training dates and times.

AGE GROUPS

Players are encouraged to register and play in their correct age group.

  • ‘Minis’ are U6 to U9; and
  • ‘Juniors’ are U10 to U17’s/U18’s

If you would like your child to play in a different team please email our Registrar. You will NOT be able to register them in a different age group online. Once you have completed the registration process please email registrar@duralrugbyclub.com.au to advise which age group you wish your son to play in, so that the request can be considered.

Please note that this will depend on the size, weight and skill of the child as well as the numbers in the age group you are in or trying to go to. Transfers are not automatic.

PLAYING GEAR

Each team is supplied with jerseys, footballs, drink carriers, vests and a first aid kit (junior teams only ie U10 and above) at the beginning of each season. It is important all gear is looked after carefully and is returned at the end of the season.

It is a requirement for all ages to wear a mouth guard.

We recommend that your child wears head gear and shoulder pads. If you are purchasing any protective gear for your child it MUST have the IRB Rugby Union trademark.

Jerseys – Each team is supplied for jerseys for the year. These jerseys are to be returned at the end of the season. The jerseys are NOT to be worn for any other purposes except on game day. The Team Manager will arrange a washing roster for the jerseys.

Vests – ground marshal vests, runners, and assistant referees vests are provided to each team.

Footballs – Coaches are provided with Gilbert training balls and a match ball at the start of each season. To increase longevity, rugby balls are to be retained by the coach after each training session / match rather than being distributed to players to look after. The match ball is a premium Gilbert ball that is to be reserved for matches to maintain its condition. Correct ball sizes for age groups are set out below:

U8 & U9Size 3
U10, U11 and U12Size 4

VOLUNTEERS

Any parents interested in assisting with team training, ground marshalling, ground setup, joining the Committee or Club Sponsorship please contact Club President.  There is plenty of help and training available so please don’t think it’s too hard. It’s a great way to get closer to the action.

INSURANCE

Dural recommends that all players have private health insurance. The ARU offers a basic level of insurance that is included with all registrations.

PROBLEM SOLVING

If you experience a problem, please raise your concern to your coach or manager. Your coach or manager can then raise the problem to their Age Coordinator. Your age coordinator knows the correct protocol to follow. If you feel that your problem did not get addressed, you can contact either our President or Vice President who will assist you.

CONTACTING THE SJRU

Please do not contact the SJRU, the SJRU will only speak to CLUB PRESIDENTS. Please direct all enquiries to either the President or Vice President who will handle the query or direct it to the correct person.

IMPORT RULE

Each Age Group is limited to having a maximum number of 2 players from another club join each age group. Please see the full ruling under the SJRU Competition Rules. Please be aware of this when asking players to join teams.

Contact registrar@duralrugbyclub.com.au if your questions are not answered on these pages.
